Senior Group Reporting Accountant: Consolidations & Tax

Job summary

Nearmap is seeking an experienced, hands-on Group Reporting professional to own month-end close, group consolidation, and preparation of statutory financial statements. You will bring a strong view on Australian tax, transfer pricing, and process improvements, partnering across Australia and the US with auditors and tax advisors.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in accounting/finance, CA/CPA, exposure to multi-currency consolidations and SaaS or ASX-listed environments, plus advanced Excel and ERP

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with 4+ years in accounting/finance.
• Experience with financial reporting and global consolidations.
• Exposure to multi-currency consolidations, transfer pricing and tax.
• Strong knowledge of AASB and IFRS.
• Big 4 experience or exposure to ASX-listed or SaaS businesses.
• Advanced Excel with ERP systems experience (NetSuite, Salesforce).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to simplify complex messages.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations and posting journals.
• Manage Group consolidation process for accurate, timely reporting.
• Lead preparation of monthly and annual statutory financial statements.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis for management review.
• Lead external audits as central point of contact with auditors.
• Manage direct tax and transfer pricing matters with external advisors.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions for consolidation.
• Liaise with ATO and state revenue offices as required.
• Monitor new/amended accounting standards and advise on impact.
• Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects across teams.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with policies.
