Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment Brisbane is seeking a senior Cloud Services Engineer to own development work for AWS/Cloud Services. You will lead tools for multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure) and drive automation across public clouds.

Key responsibilities include managing the lifecycle from development to deployment, implementing CI/CD pipelines, adhering to ITIL frameworks, and collaborating with internal teams and partners to deliver robust cloud solutions that meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life-cycle.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, and Ruby or similar languages.
• Experience with source control and automated testing.
• Cloud automation experience in AWS and Azure, with CloudFormation templates.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code philosophy and IaC practices.
• Experience with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Salt for configuration management.
• Security concepts in web apps and cloud platforms.
• Ability to define architecture/design for complex implementations.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile projects (Scrum) and CI/CD.
• Change management and risk management for releases.
• GIS products knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own development work for AWS/Cloud Services tools.
• Develop and deploy Cloud Services automation tools across AWS/Azure.
• Manage lifecycle from development to deployment, including source control, automated testing, packaging and deployment.
• Apply Continuous Integration knowledge for automated build/test processes.
• Manage development and deployment using best practice guidelines.
• Derive business requirements from consulting and technology environments.
• Define signs for complex systems to be implemented and communicate them clearly.
• Work to schedules and deliver to commitments.
• Adhere to ITIL services framework.
• Commit to continuous personal improvement.
• Consult with IT teams to deliver robust cloud applications for clients.
• Exhibit leadership and drive results while aligning with business goals.
• Maintain external relationships with partners to improve interaction and integration.
