EBR Ever Better Recruitment Brisbane is seeking a senior Cloud Services Engineer to own development work for AWS/Cloud Services. You will lead tools for multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure) and drive automation across public clouds.

Key responsibilities include managing the lifecycle from development to deployment, implementing CI/CD pipelines, adhering to ITIL frameworks, and collaborating with internal teams and partners to deliver robust cloud solutions that meet business goals.

Competenze

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life-cycle.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, and Ruby or similar languages.
• Experience with source control and automated testing.
• Cloud automation experience in AWS and Azure, with CloudFormation templates.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code philosophy and IaC practices.
• Experience with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Salt for configuration management.
• Security concepts in web apps and cloud platforms.
• Ability to define architecture/design for complex implementations.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile projects (Scrum) and CI/CD.
• Change management and risk management for releases.
• GIS products knowledge.

• Working as part of a national team, owning the development work for the tools needs for AWS/Cloud Services.


• Manage and take responsibility for development of the current and future Cloud Services automation tools. These tools will be operating across the several public clouds including:

• Manage the lifecycle of Cloud Services tools from development to deployment, including source control management, automated testing, packaging and deployment

• Proven experience in software engineering best practices using source control and automated testing etc.


• Commercial cloud automation experience in AWS (preferably) or Azure, e.g. AWS SDKs and CloudFormation templates.


• Strong written and verbal communication


• A strong understanding of the philosophy of Infrastructure as Code.


• Configuration management experience using Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible, or Salt.


• A deep understanding of modern security concepts in web applications and cloud platforms.


• The ability to define architecture/design where required to communicate complex implementation concepts.


• Experience with Relational Database and NoSQL development.


• Experience with Agile project methodologies such as Scrum.


• Experience in implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems.
