Alliance Geotechnical is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead projects in Sydney from investigation through CPS with increasing complexity. You will guide project managers on simpler projects and act as PM on more complex ones, coordinating drill rigs, subcontractors and field activities.

The role requires 8–10+ years in geotechnical engineering, chartered status or ongoing pursuit, and a strong track record in tenders, client relationships, and delivering safe, quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or related discipline.
• 8–10+ years in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology.
• Member of a relevant professional body; working toward or holding Chartered status.

Responsabilités

• Lead geotechnical projects end-to-end from investigation to completion; act as Project Manager on complex work or as Project Director on smaller ones.
• Coordinate large-scale field investigations, subcontractors, and site logistics.
• Contribute to tenders and proposals, manage risk on higher-value bids.
• Provide training and direction to engineers in specialist techniques and review field logs and reports.
• Prepare and review interpretative reports and CPS inspections across a range of projects.
• Build strong client relationships through site meetings and technical direction.
• Monitor project financials and coach project managers to improve performance.
• Uphold WHS, environmental and IMS standards to foster a safe, inclusive culture.
