Job summary

WSP’s Geo-Environmental Engineering team in Australia seeks a Senior Associate to Principal-level Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary projects from concept to completion in Brisbane. You will manage design and construction with emphasis on ground engineering and geo-environmental solutions, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and strong client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; postgraduate geotechnical focus valued.
• Professional project management experience, ideally PMP certified.
• Proven track record managing multidisciplinary projects in construction or civil infrastructure.
• Strong financial acumen with forecasting, estimating, and cost management.
• Experience with scheduling tools (MS Project or Primavera P6).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; commitment to safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of construction and engineering professionals, driving technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Manage the full design and construction (D&C) project lifecycle, focusing on ground engineering, contaminated land, and geo-environmental solutions.
• Oversee project delivery to meet timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Drive project performance through schedules, costs, risks, revenue, and contract variations with robust financial controls.
• Engage stakeholders including clients, authorities, consultants, contractors, and end-users to ensure productive relationships.
• Support business development by promoting capabilities, contributing to proposals, and identifying new opportunities.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to change management initiatives to improve delivery and client satisfaction.
