Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is seeking an experienced professional to support ECGS functions within GASRTO. You will manage ECGS reporting, monitor gas supply adequacy, and assist in market interventions to resolve issues affecting the East Coast gas system.

The role offers flexibility to base in Melbourne or Brisbane, with on‑call guidance during gas events and opportunities to lead data‑driven improvements across reporting and system interfaces.

Competenze

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, Science, Energy Systems, Data Science).
• Experience in the Energy sector, ideally in the Gas retail market.
• Modelling experience, working with databases, querying data and developing and maintaining analytical reports and data visualisations.
• Experience in gas emergency management and gas supply modelling will be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise reports and procedures.

Mansioni

• Lead development and maintenance of modelling tools and reports for ECGS supply adequacy and implement procedures and rules.
• Support signalling to the market any identified risks through market notices or conferences and determine appropriate responses.
• Participate as on‑call support during gas emergencies with risk and financial impact considerations.
• Provide leadership on post‑incident reviews and work with management to mitigate non‑compliances.
• Take lead in managing Gas Bulletin Board data accuracy and participate in IT system and database projects.
