Job summary

AEMO is recruiting a Support Analyst to join the Prudentials team within the Market Management division. Under supervision, you will learn core functions, build relationships with key stakeholders and respond to market participant queries.

This role offers a great learning opportunity to apply your analytical skills in a regulated energy environment. You will contribute to compliance with the National Electricity Rules and National Gas Rules, identify risks, and support process improvements

Qualifications

• Degree in economics, computing, commerce, engineering, science or a related discipline.
• Experience in a commercial or regulatory environment in analytical, compliance-oriented roles.
• A demonstrable passion for the Energy sector and alignment with AEMO’s mission to move Australia to a renewable energy future.
• Experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI or similar analytical tools would also be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of operational functions in compliance with rules, regulations and procedures within defined deadlines.
• Monitor, identify and escalation compliance or technical issues to the Manager.
• Assist in identifying, assessing and reporting operational and technical risks, and support the implementation of effective solutions and controls.
• Assist in the identification and analysis of changes to processes and/or systems which contribute to process enhancements.
• Undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis under direction to assist decision making or support projects and activities.
