Job summary
APA Group is seeking a Senior Project Development Engineer – Gas Powered Generation to join the Infrastructure Engineering team in Brisbane, QLD or Sydney, NSW on a permanent full-time basis.
You will lead multidisciplinary development engineering for gas-fired power generation opportunities, translating customer and business requirements into safe, compliant, and commercially robust solutions that support investment decisions and project delivery.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree with eligibility for Engineers Australia.
- Experience in gas-fired power generation or energy infrastructure.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary activities and manage interfaces.
- Chartered engineer level or eligibility to obtain within 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate development engineering for GPG opportunities from concept through delivery.
- Develop cost-effective power solutions including generation tech, balance of plant, gas supply, electrical systems, grid connection, controls and commissioning.
- Ensure FEED studies, design bases, specs and calculations are complete and on time.
- Contribute to business cases, option studies, cost estimates, schedules, and procurement strategies.
- Lead safety, design reviews and risk assessments balancing safety, performance, and lifecycle considerations.
