Job summary

APA Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Project Delivery team and support high-quality outcomes. You will work with project teams and vendors to ensure quality assurance, governance and continuous improvement, delivering assets to specification.

This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney, with a focus on getting things right first time and ensuring safe, reliable energy infrastructure delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline is desirable.
• Vendor and/or Project Quality experience within infrastructure/energy/asset-intensive industries.
• Strong knowledge of project quality assurance and quality systems.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, quality docs, inspection records and MDRs.
• Ability to manage quality risks, non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across project, engineering, procurement and supplier teams.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management principles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project teams to develop and implement Project Quality Plans and manage risks.
• Lead vendor quality activities across materials and equipment packages, incl. bid evaluations and FATs.
• Coordinate suppliers, engineers and inspectors to deliver quality requirements.
• Manage non-conformances, QCs and corrective actions through to closure.
• Review vendor documents, inspection records and MDRs to support handover.
• Use insights and lessons learned to reduce repeat issues across projects.
