Job summary

Cotton On Group is seeking a detail-driven Garment Technician to join the Factorie team in Geelong. You will ensure every style meets fit, construction and quality standards by partnering with Design, Buying and suppliers to deliver on brand expectations.

You will lead fit sessions, own technical documentation, and help build block libraries while driving continuous improvement in fit and product performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Garment Technician role or similar technical position.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit principles and garment measurement.
• Deep understanding of fabrics, fibres and material performance.
• Experience working with offshore suppliers to deliver quality outcomes.
• High attention to detail and accuracy across all stages of development.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder collaboration across Design, Buying, Production and Quality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Adobe/CAD highly regarded).
• Strong initiative with commercial awareness and a passion for product.

Responsibilities

• Lead fit sessions, providing expert direction on fit, construction and garment balance.
• Own fit comments, specifications and technical documentation across development.
• Build and maintain block libraries, ensuring consistency of fit across categories.
• Partner with Design to support product development and advise on fit and construction.
• Work closely with suppliers to communicate technical requirements and ensure accurate execution.
• Support fabric and trim decisions to ensure product is fit for purpose.
• Drive continuous improvement in fit, quality and product performance.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Design, Buying, Production and Quality teams.
