Job summary

The Aje Collective in Sydney is seeking a Senior Garment Technician to translate design concepts into production-ready garments at our Head Office. You will work closely with Design, Production and the Atelier Technical Manager to drive technical accuracy from initial proto to bulk production.

Responsibilities span creating specs, coordinating fittings, and communicating clear instructions to factories, while safeguarding fit, fabric and construction standards for high-end activewear.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in colour, design detail, fabrics and print development.
• Highly organised and detail oriented.
• Experience in fast-paced design environments managing multiple seasons.
• Understanding of garment construction, fit and fabrics, esp. activewear.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with strong CAD skills.
• Ability to think critically, take initiative and solve problems.
• Strong communication with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Efficient and energetic in task execution.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed specs, make notes & sample requests for offshore sampling.
• Follow direction from Creative Director & Senior Designers to translate concepts to production-ready garments.
• Coordinate BOMs, design details, notes & specs for factories.
• Analyse fittings and ensure appropriate alterations to meet Aje standards.
• Prepare samples for fittings, review comments with factories, and ensure accuracy.
