Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Sydney is seeking a Senior Fund Accounting Associate to take senior ownership of end-to-end fund operations for a portfolio of institutional clients.

The role requires independence, accountability, and a focus on delivering high-quality results across Australia, New Zealand, and APAC. You will manage daily fund accounting tasks, drive process improvements, and maintain rigorous risk controls while coordinating with client service managers and other teams to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fund operations, unit trust pricing, or fund accounting.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international financial markets and instruments.
• Experience with asset management systems and client-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Take senior ownership of client relationships, including query resolution and service reviews.
• Maintain and enforce documentation standards (SOPs, checklists) with team-wide compliance.
• Lead process improvement and system development initiatives to drive efficiency gains.
• Liaise with relationship managers and upstream/downstream teams to resolve issues and uphold service quality.
• Oversee the risk and control framework, escalating issues promptly and maintaining risk discipline.
