PARtsDB is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a Technical Lead pathway. You will tackle the most complex work, shape technical design and uplift the team while reporting to the Head of Engineering.

This role offers a defined engineering pathway, a prime Sydney CBD hybrid setup, and a platform undergoing active modernization where accuracy and speed matter for automotive fitment data customers.

Qualifications

• Strong C# / .NET Core backend depth.
• Solid React experience; Next.js is advantageous.
• Experience building and scaling web apps, APIs and services.
• Cloud-native SaaS deployment experience, preferably Azure.
• Agile Scrum fluency; offshore teams a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex features across the stack, including cross-system work.
• Set quality bar with code reviews, QA, automation and CI/CD.
• Mentor developers, juniors and graduates through pairing and review coaching.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, stakeholders, and vendors on trade-offs.

Senior Fullstack Engineer - Technical Lead Pathway | .NET, React, Azure

PARtsDB builds the B2B fitment data and catalogue platform that sits underneath the automotive parts industry. When a workshop, retailer or distributor can tell you in seconds whether a part fits a given vehicle, that answercamefrom a platform like ours.

Our platform serves the global automotive aftermarket, backed by 25+ years of proprietary fitment data - one of the deepest data sets of its kind in the region - and back by one of the largest Automotive Aftermarket companies in the world.

Vehicle fitment is a genuinely hard data problem: high cardinality, messy real-world sources and unforgiving accuracy expectations. It is not CRUD.

The role - and why we have pitched it where we have

This is a Senior Developer role, reporting to the Head of Engineering. You will take on the most complex work in your stream, shape its technical design and lift the people around you.

Technical Lead isn't the starting position but is an open role and a true pathway. Show the leadership and performance, and the opportunity is yours to make - with clear readiness indicators, a development plan against them, and a manager who will tell you plainly what is still missing.

What you will be doing

Leading design and delivery of the most complex, highest-risk work in your stream - cross-system builds, migrations, performance and scale - and owning the architectural calls that go with it. Hands-on throughout.

Setting the quality bar through code review, engineering-led QA, automation, integrationtestingand CI/CD, and owning root cause analysis for significant production incidents.

Mentoring Developers, Juniors and Graduates through pairing and review coaching.

Working with Product Managers, stakeholders and vendors to turn technical trade-offs into decisions they can act on.

Setting the standard for AI-assisted development: high throughput with rigorous verification, and clear judgement about where the tools can be trusted.

Your technical background

Strong C# / .NET Core backend depth, with solid React (Next.js an advantage).

Experience building and scaling web applications, APIs and services in a cloud-native SaaS environment.

Azure preferred; AWS or GCP considered if you can show you will pick Azure up quickly.

Database design across relational and non-relational stores, with a focus on performance and data integrity.

Secure development, CI/CD and DevOps practice you can embed in a team.

Expert and judicious use of AI development tools.

Agile Scrum fluency; experience with offshore teams is an advantage.

Degree in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
