Job summary

Emanate Technology Pty Ltd is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a high-performing Australian defence technology team in Mawson Lakes, SA. This on-site role requires NV1 security clearance and involves delivering mission-critical software in a secure environment.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications, using Angular/Vue/Svelte on the front end and Python/Java Spring Boot on the back end, with Docker and CI/CD practices in DevOps-supported

Qualifications

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Defence experience in full-stack software development.
• Experience with cloud technologies and microservices-based architectures.
• Ability to collaborate within cross-functional and agile teams.
• Eligibility to obtain, or currently hold, an Australian Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams delivering complex software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications using microservices architecture.
• Develop modern front-end applications using frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
• Build secure, high-performance back-end services using Python and Java Spring Boot.
• Utilise Docker for containerisation and support CI/CD implementation alongside DevOps teams.
• Ensure software quality, security, maintainability, and performance across the application stack.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with UX/UI, data, and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to technical innovation.
