Job summary

Emanate Technology Pty Ltd in Adelaide, SA, is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a defence technology team delivering mission-critical software. You will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications using modern frameworks and microservices in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Defence experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience working with cloud technologies and microservices-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams delivering complex software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full-stack applications using microservices architecture.
• Develop modern front-end applications using frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
• Build secure, high-performance back-end services using Python and Java Spring Boot.
• Utilise Docker for containerisation and support CI/CD implementation alongside DevOps teams.
• Ensure software quality, security, maintainability, and performance across the application stack.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with UX/UI, data, and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to technical innovation.
