M&T Resources is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer to join an engineering team building a next-generation electronic trading platform for a major Australian financial institution.

The role covers full stack development across frontend and backend, including OMS, SOR and market data integrations, with a focus on reliability and performance suitable for high-volume trading environments.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Java Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance full stack applications supporting electronic trading and execution.
• Build high-performance Java backend services for order management and trading workflows.
• Develop modern frontend applications used by traders, operations and other financial markets users.
• Build and enhance Order Management Systems (OMS) and trading workflows.
• Develop Smart Order Routing (SOR) capabilities and order execution functionality.
• Integrate with Australian and international exchanges and trading venues.
• Work with real-time market data and trading information.
• Develop APIs, event-driven services and distributed applications supporting high-volume trading.
• Build resilient, highly available systems capable of handling critical trading workflows.
• Work closely with front-office traders, business analysts, product teams and other engineering teams.
• Contribute to architecture, design, testing, deployment and production support across the full application lifecycle.
