JPMorganChase within Commercial & Investment Bank Technology is seeking a Software Engineer III to build and sustain distributed microservices on AWS and PostgreSQL-backed platforms that support mission-critical services.

You will collaborate with peers, product owners and architects to ensure compliance, SLAs, and strategic objectives. This is an opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale financial services infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of applied experience in enterprise software development.
Broader knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) and ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, Dapper).
Hands-on experience with enterprise AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling.

Responsibilities

Design and contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise-grade applications using C# and the modern .NET ecosystem (.NET 6/7/8+).
Work across the full software development lifecycle—from requirements analysis through deployment and operations.
Design and implement RESTful APIs, event-driven microservices, and distributed systems with clean code and scalable patterns.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL including schema design, queries, indexing, and performance tuning for high-volume workloads.
Collaborate with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and ensure outputs are peer-reviewed, tested, and secure.
