Flight Centre Travel Group Australia is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer in South Bank, QLD. You will design, build, test and release responsive front-end and back-end solutions across multiple streams.

You will work in an agile environment, mentor teammates on code quality and best practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning with access to Udemy and engineering days. This role offers opportunities across the company's global brands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Senior Full-Stack experience delivering end-to-end frontend and backend solutions.
• Proven track record mentoring in code quality, standards and architecture patterns.
• Experience building user-friendly, responsive web applications for desktop and mobile.
• Strong proficiency in React and Node.js.
• Experience with testing (Cypress, Selenium, Jest).
• Proficient with frontend tooling (Webpack, Babel, npm, yarn, ESLint, Prettier).
• Experience with SPA development using routing and JSON-based RESTful APIs.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, AWS services (EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront).
• DevOps practices and observability (logging, monitoring).
• Serverless development with AWS Lambda and SSR with Next.js.
• Open source involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Craft high quality, secure, testable, maintainable code that is not over engineered.
• Own the quality of what we build, through testing, test automation and observability to ensure operational reliability and performance.
• Analyse business requirements and problem solve to create the right solutions for our customers.
• Participate in code reviews with other engineers to provide feedback to ensure we maintain quality, standards, meets requirements and compliance.
• Maintain and improve our documentation across code bases, architectures and our knowledge bases.
• Collaborate in cross-functional Product Management and Engineering teams to plan and deliver high quality solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Be an impactful contributor to the team, to plan, design and build elegant solutions.
• Take initiative and always look for ways to improve the quality of our solutions, code bases, technical debt, standards, processes and best practices.
• Be a participant in the global engineering community improving our practice across the company.
