Job summary

Twine, a leading freelance marketplace, seeks an experienced software engineer to own features across React front ends, Node.js services, and an integrated TypeScript monorepo. You will design, optimize, and operate data-intensive workloads, focusing on reliability and scalable performance within an AdTech context.

You will collaborate with peers to ensure code quality, implement best practices, and guide architectural decisions through production delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Strong experience with SQL/OLAP databases and analytical query optimization.
• Hands-on expertise with ClickHouse, MongoDB, Redis, and queue-based processing (BullMQ or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable features across React front ends and Node.js backend services within a TypeScript monorepo.
• Design, optimize, and operate ETL pipelines and data-heavy workloads using ClickHouse, MongoDB, Redis, and queue-based processing (BullMQ).
• Ensure reliable CI/CD, background job processing, real-time data delivery, and high-performance analytical queries.
• Uphold engineering quality through comprehensive testing (unit, integration, snapshot, screenshot, end-to-end).
• Conduct code reviews and provide architectural input to guide technical decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions for advertising data processing.
