Job summary

Quantium in Sydney seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Design System Engineering team. You will shape a shared component library, define scalable front-end standards, and ensure accessibility and brand consistency across a global product portfolio.

In this hands-on role you’ll balance delivering product needs with the long-term health of the design system, collaborating with UX practitioners and engineers to advance AI-assisted development and reusable foundations.

Qualifications

• Design systems experience with centralised libraries or UI frameworks.
• Strong frontend engineering with React and component-based architecture.
• Good UX fluency including accessibility and design intent.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools in engineering workflows.
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated code for quality, consistency and accessibility.
• Systematical thinking to create reusable foundations for multiple products.
• Ability to influence engineers and designers toward better standards.

Responsibilities

• Evolve our design system and shared component library.
• Define practical standards for consistency, accessibility and brand.
• Improve AI-generated interfaces and ensure production readiness.
• Create documentation and usage rules for components.
• Stay hands-on and balance immediate needs with long-term health of the system.
• Grow capability by pairing with UX practitioners and engineers.
