Job summary

Deputy, a global SaaS workforce management company with hubs in Sydney and Melbourne, is seeking a front-end engineer to build production-ready UI components and contribute to AI-enhanced design systems.

You will collaborate with design and engineering to ensure fidelity, accessibility, and scalable outputs, and help drive AI-assisted workflows from design to production across our Vue/React-based platform.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in front-end engineering, design engineering, or design systems.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building UI components in Vue or React.
• Familiarity with Figma, tokens, and variants.
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices.
• Ability to bridge design and engineering contexts.

Responsibilities

• Build production-ready UI components reflecting design intent.
• Use AI tools to accelerate implementation and refinement.
• Shape and maintain the design system to be AI-friendly.
• Collaborate with design to ensure scalable outputs.
• Improve tooling and workflows between design tools and engineering.
• Ensure accessibility and high fidelity across UI.
