Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics Aus Co Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a Logistics Operator to manage end-to-end shipments for air and sea freight, including import/export procedures, documentation, and reporting. A Level 3 Operator is expected to exercise initiative and provide guidance where needed.

You will coordinate bookings, track milestones, liaise with clients and vendors, and ensure compliance with customs, quarantine rules, and client SOPs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years freight forwarding experience.
• Experience with EDI/ICS/Excel preferred.
• Experience with all Import/Export Air/Ocean is an advantage.
• Oil & gas/project freight forwarding experience is an advantage.
• Proficient or able to become proficient with Crane Worldwide systems (PO Management, Kewill, C-View).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of international and domestic freight shipments, including bookings, cartage, and vendor liaison.
• Track shipments, update milestones and confirm POD.
• Obtain and check documentation to meet customs/quarantine and packing requirements.
• Complete client requirements per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, overseas offices and internal departments.
• Manage Warehouse Clients internal/external contracts.
• Maintain/update Standard Operating Procedures.
• Invoice clients in line with timeframes and procedures.
• Process vendor invoices and perform filing/archiving.
