Job summary

Aware Super in Sydney/Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our Business Finance team. You will lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting, delivering commercial insights for strategic initiatives and investment proposals.

This hands-on role involves complex data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and collaboration with senior finance partners to drive value. Permanent, hybrid role with Sydney or Melbourne base.

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting or Finance and CA or CPA membership.
• 5+ years’ experience within commercial finance, FP&A or a similar finance environment.
• Demonstrated business partnering experience with senior stakeholders.
• Advanced financial modelling skills in Excel.
• Curious and forward-thinking approach to AI, automation and process improvement.
• Collaborative, team-first mindset with ability to influence.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate and timely reporting and analysis of project financials.
• Partner with Senior Finance Partners to provide insights on performance of strategic initiatives.
• Support project funding requests by building cost and benefit models, challenging assumptions and identifying risks.
• Prepare high-quality monthly management reporting explaining key drivers of performance.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation and analytics to streamline finance activities.
• Support presentation of financial analysis and commercial insights to inform the strategic plan.
• Work with large and complex datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
