Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to drive financial planning and analysis during a major systems transformation. Responsibilities include partnering with divisional leaders, developing financial models in Excel, and creating Power BI dashboards. Candidates should have proven FP&A experience with strong analytical skills and the ability to influence stakeholders. This is a 12-month contract with a competitive salary of $150k plus superannuation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drive FP&A and commercial finance activities during a major systems and business-wide change
• Partner with divisional leaders across two divisions to influence strategic decision-making
• Consolidate and standardise reporting across 40+ branches nationally
• Develop financial models in Excel and create insightful Power BI dashboards
• Analyse productivity, efficiency, and recovery rates to identify improvement opportunities
• Load results into OneStream for group reporting
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation processes
• Act as 2IC to the Head of FP&A, contributing to leadership discussions and transformation strategy
• Competitive package of $150k + superannuation
• 12-month contract with a strong likelihood of a permanent opportunity

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in FP&A and commercial finance within a service-based or multi-site business
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel capability
• Strong Power BI skills, able to build and standardise reports from the ground up
• Exposure to ERP transformation or major systems change
• The ability to partner with senior stakeholders and challenge the status quo with confidence
• Strong analytical skills to interpret operational performance metrics and P&L drivers
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation across multiple divisions
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the adaptability to shape a role in a changing environment
