Job summary

Reqiva is partnering with a US-headquartered AI logistics platform to help build its founding Australian engineering team in Melbourne. You will be working hands-on with production systems at the edge, deploying software directly with enterprise customers, and collaborating with global product and AI teams.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll move fast, own outcomes and see your work make a real-world impact within weeks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building and shipping production software.
• Strong experience with APIs, backend systems or platform integrations.
• Ability to move between code, customer problems and architecture decisions.
• Experience owning production systems: reliability, monitoring and post-launch support.
• Bias toward speed, iteration and ownership amid ambiguity.
• Clear communicator with operators, CTOs and executives.
• Motivated by building software that touches the physical world at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and operate production systems used by enterprise retailers.
• Work with customers’ engineering teams to understand problems and deliver outcomes.
• Take new products from concept to live deployment and own them in production.
• Design and extend core infrastructure behind global delivery orchestration.
• Partner with product and AI teams to shape product direction across APAC.
