Job summary

BG&E, now part of the SYSTRA Group, is building a Flooding and Hydrology team in WA. We seek an experienced professional to lead projects, deliver robust modelling and flood risk assessments, and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative, flexible hybrid environment.

You will grow your career in a national practice with opportunities to progress to Team Associate while contributing to major infrastructure and mining projects across WA.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering with strong hydrology and flood risk skills.
• 8+ years' experience ideal; 6+ years considered for Senior Engineer level with relevant exposure.
• Australian consulting experience essential, WA experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in mining/major infrastructure projects with flood inputs is preferred.
• Strong ability to develop and review hydrologic and hydraulic models using RORB, TUFLOW, HEC-RAS.

Responsibilities

• Lead flood and hydrology projects or discipline packages across mining, infrastructure, and development projects.
• Deliver hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessments, and practical flood management solutions.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders for strong project outcomes.
• Drive technical quality through clear analysis, reporting, and communication of modelling results.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
