Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join its networked Fire Services team in New South Wales, Australia. The role involves independent work and collaboration across a range of iconic projects including commercial, residential, retail, and defense sectors, across Australia and NZ.

The successful candidate will bring extensive design consultancy experience, strong knowledge of NCC and Australian standards, and the ability to review FEB/FER and liaise with Fire Safety Engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified and NER listed with FPAS or referenceable FPAS

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage projects from concept to installation and commissioning.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure delivery of projects.
• Design Fire Protection Services for complex projects (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, detection).
• Represent Stantec to clients and manage relationships.
• Prepare and present client presentations.
• Delegate tasks to junior engineers and mentor their development.
• Contribute to in-house discussions and design reviews.
• Attend construction meetings and site inspections to support delivery.
