Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Associate Fire Protection Engineer to lead design and delivery of fire protection solutions for Data Centre and mission-critical facilities across Australia and New Zealand. The role emphasizes technical leadership, client engagement, and collaboration with Jacobs' GID teams to ensure safe, compliant, and innovative outcomes.

You will guide complex projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to growing Jacobs' Fire Protection capability and regional portfolio,

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering fire protection engineering in a consulting environment.
• Strong technical capability across fire protection systems design and fire engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design and consultancy across complex buildings, data centres and mission-critical facilities.
• Act as Fire Protection Lead, providing technical leadership through project lifecycles.
• Undertake independent design reviews and assurance activities for high-quality outcomes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across ANZ with collaboration from GID teams.
• Interface with clients, contractors, authorities and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
