Remitly is seeking a senior financial crime investigator to manage complex cases end-to-end, develop detection typologies, and oversee monitoring in global operations. The role requires strong data analysis, SQL skills, OSINT expertise, and collaboration with law enforcement and FIU teams.

Candidates should have extensive experience in financial crime investigations, cross-border payments knowledge, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in financial crime investigations or related fields.
• Experience with high risk typologies and red flags.
• Ability to build a case from ambiguous facts and document it clearly.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Ability to assess other investigators’ work and influence improvements.
• Excellent OSINT and public records research abilities.
• Clear, economical writing suitable for senior stakeholders.
• Experience liaising with law enforcement or regulatory bodies.

Responsabilités

• Carry complex, high severity cases end to end, escalating with necessary context.
• Develop proactive intelligence and typologies into detection logic.
• Oversee detection performance in production, guiding improvements.
• Support law enforcement and FIU engagements with timely referrals and information sharing.
