Job summary

Remitly is seeking an experienced senior investigator to carry complex financial crime cases end to end, including typology development and detection logic. You will guide global investigations, support law enforcement engagements, and ensure high-quality, defensible case documentation.

The role requires 7+ years in financial crime investigations, strong data analysis, and experience in cross-border and regulatory contexts. Hybrid work is expected with onsite attendance in Sydney as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data analysis capability with ability to write SQL queries.
• Experience building cases from ambiguous starting facts and documenting defensibly.
• Strong OSINT and public records research skills.
• Clear, economical writing for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Carry complex financial crime investigations end to end.
• Develop detection typologies and operational detection requirements.
• Provide subject matter direction to global investigations teams.
