Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee Group Finance operations, including treasury, FP&A, accounting and external reporting. The role reports to the Director of Group Finance and works with senior leaders and the FP&A/Accounting teams.

The ideal candidate will have CA or equivalent, 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role, and strong stakeholder management. Experience with Workday and Adaptive Planning is highly desirable; trust taxation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Essential CA or equivalent Degree
• Essential 3+ years in a senior role leading finance teams
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills
• High level communication skills both written and verbal
• Highly organised both in relation to personal and team activities
• Ability to operate at all levels including at a transactional level where required
• Strong decision making skills
• Excellent analytical skills combined with sound business acumen
• Desirable Experience of working in professional services firms
• Experience with Workday / Adaptive Planning
• Experience with the taxation of trusts and trust accounting

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations across Group Finance including treasury, FP&A, and accounting.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide insights to the Executive Board.
• Ensure timely delivery of external reporting and regulatory obligations.
• Design, implement and maintain robust internal controls over key processes.
• Lead Workday ERP Finance module configuration and optimisations.
• Mentor and develop team members through coaching and feedback.
• Coordinate resourcing across Group Finance and manage capacity and absences.
• Support strategic initiatives and ad hoc projects as required.
