Job summary

RSM Australia is seeking a Financial Controller on a parental leave cover, reporting to the Director of Group Finance. The role oversees financial accounting, FP&A, budgeting, regulatory reporting and internal controls across the Group Finance function.

You will partner with senior leaders, lead treasury activities, and mentor the finance team while delivering timely, robust financial insights to support strategic decisions for Australia-wide operations.

Qualifications

• CA or equivalent and accounting accreditation.
• Degree qualification required.
• 3+ years in a senior finance role leading teams.
• Experience in professional services firms.
• Experience with Workday / Adaptive Planning.
• Experience with the taxation of trusts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee treasury, FP&A, and accounting operations.
• Deliver timely financial reports and guidance.
• Lead annual budgeting and strategic analysis.
• Partner with leaders to translate insights into actions.
• Ensure external reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain internal controls across key processes.
• Lead Workday Finance module configuration.
• Manage foreign currency and cash flow forecasting.
• Develop and mentor finance team.
