RSM Australia is seeking a Financial Controller for a parental leave cover across our national operations in Melbourne. You will report to the Director of Group Finance and oversee the operations of the financial accounting and FP&A teams while supporting the development and implementation of broader Group Finance strategy.
You will lead day-to-day finance operations, budgeting, treasury, external reporting and internal controls.

This parental leave cover opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of financial management, business partnering and strategic initiatives across RSM's national operations. As Financial Controller you will have broad operational responsibilities across RSM’s Group Finance function. Reporting to the Director of Group Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the financial accounting and FP&A teams as well as supporting the Director of Group Finance in developing and implementing strategy for the broader Group Finance division. This role will work closely with the Director of Group Finance as well as partners and senior leaders at RSM and is supported by the Financial Accounting Manager and the FP&A Manager.
Education Requirements: Essential CA or equivalent Degree.
Qualified Demonstrated Experiences and Attributes: Essential 3+ years in a senior role leading finance teams, Outstanding stakeholder management skills, High level communication skills both written and verbal, Highly organised both in relation to personal and team activities, Ability to operate at all levels including at a transactional level where required, Strong decision making skills, Excellent analytical skills combined with sound business acumen.
Desirable: Experience of working in professional services firms, Experience with Workday / Adaptive Planning, Experience with the taxation of trusts and trust accounting.
