Job summary

Norths Collective is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple venues and entities. You will lead the Finance Manager and wider finance team, driving strategy, compliance and performance for a growing hospitality group.

You will handle consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and reporting under AASB, strengthen internal controls, optimise cash flow and partner with the CFO and Board on critical financial decisions.

Qualifications

• Significant senior finance experience with consolidation and multi-entity reporting.
• Deep knowledge of AASB and group reporting.
• Experience in hospitality, gaming or licensed clubs is highly regarded.
• Exposure to mergers or amalgamations is an advantage.
• Proven ability to build and develop high-performing finance teams.
• Exceptional communication skills with Board and executive level.
• Strong ERP and systems capability with process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual reporting under AASB for the group, including consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity and working capital; partner with CFO on banking relationships.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting with venues and operations aligned to group objectives.
• Analyze performance at entity and group level; provide insights on metrics and risks to senior management.
• Oversee group tax reporting with advisers; ensure compliance and tax efficiency within club industry.
• Build robust internal controls and embed an internal audit process.
• Drive finance systems optimisation and automate routine work.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team; foster accountability and collaboration.
• Partner with CEO/CFO and senior leadership as trusted finance advisor.
