Job summary

Cadence Connect in Brisbane is seeking a senior finance leader to own end-to-end finance across multiple venues. You’ll sit between venue managers, suppliers, banks and the owner, reporting to the Director to drive commercial insights and cash flow decisions.

This hands-on role requires you to close month-end and lead forecasting, budgeting and compliance while mentoring a junior accountant. It is a five‑day on-site role with a dedicated car park and a collaborative, grown-up culture.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified, or well underway.
• Strong end-to-end month-end and management reporting experience.
• Willing to mentor a junior and bring them along.
• Comfortable in a multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end finance function across multiple venues.
• Provide commercial analysis and act as business partner to director.
• Run month-end, journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Produce management reporting pack and underlying analysis.
• Own cash flow forecasting and day-to-day bank management.
• Build budgets and forecasts and enforce them.
• Liaise with banks, vendors and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure BAS, payroll tax and year-end compliance.
• Mentor an undergraduate accountant and collaborate with payroll/officers.
• Advise owner on investment priorities and strategic redirects.
