Job summary

FMS Field Mining Services Group – Mackay QLD is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial control, reporting, governance and business performance across the Group. Reporting to the General Manager Group Finance, you will head core accounting, treasury and compliance functions, provide strategic financial insight, and support sound business decisions with timely information.

You will manage month-end close, statutory reporting, audits, cashflow forecasting and lead a Finance

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualification.
• Strong financial control, technical accounting and month-end experience.
• Experience leading Finance teams and across multiple business units.
• Experience in financial reporting and balance sheet governance.

Responsibilities

• Leading month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Overseeing Group financial reporting, P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
• Maintaining strong financial controls, governance and accounting standards.
• Reviewing business unit performance, financial results, variances and working capital.
• Supporting quarterly forecasting and financial analysis.
• Overseeing statutory reporting, audit requirements and compliance obligations.
• Managing banking, financing facilities, covenant reporting and lender requirements.
• Overseeing Group cashflow forecasting and working capital management.
• Leading, coaching and supporting Finance Business Partners and Finance team members.
• Driving improvements across Finance systems, processes, controls and reporting.
• Providing financial insight and commercial support to the CFO, ELT and business leaders.
