Job summary

Netball Australia is seeking a commercially minded Financial Accountant to join our Melbourne-based finance team in Derrimut. You will work closely with the Finance Manager on core accounting processes and strategic financial insights that support the sport's operations.

The role covers month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting support, and detailed financial analysis to drive improvements across finance and reporting functions.

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and month-end experience.
• Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence learning accounting systems.
• Attention to detail and proactive approach.
• Ability to communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• CA/CPA qualification or progress towards qualification.

• Strong Excel skills and confidence learning accounting systems
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
• The ability to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
• CA/CPA qualification, or progress towards qualification, will be highly regarded

Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution or another operational environment would be advantageous.What you'll get in return
