As our Netball Programs & Products Manager, you will have end-to-end accountability for developing contemporary, inclusive and commercially sustainable offerings that grow participation, strengthen customer loyalty and contribute to the long-term sustainability of netball in Queensland.

This is a strategic and hands‑on role for someone who can spot market opportunities, turn ideas into viable products and use data, customer insights and financial performance to make clear decisions about investment, pricing, delivery and growth.

We are also home to the Queensland Firebirds, Queensland's premier netball team competing in Suncorp Super Netball, and Nissan Arena, one of South East Queensland's leading sports and entertainment venues.

At Netball Queensland, our purpose is simple: to enrich lives through netball. We are passionate about growing participation, building winning teams, creating unforgettable fan experiences and strengthening our connection with communities across Queensland.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of South QLD, you will:

  • Manage the portfolio budget, including forecasting, expenditure, pricing recommendations and analysis of financial performance.
  • Lead the growth and ongoing development of Social Netball, including Teen Social, as a priority participation and revenue product.
  • Maintain a regular on‑site presence during Monday and Wednesday evening Social Netball competitions to support delivery and gather customer insights.
  • Lead and develop the casual workforce responsible for program delivery, including workforce planning, onboarding, coaching and performance oversight.
  • Use market research, participation data, customer insights and industry trends to identify opportunities and guide investment decisions.
  • Build effective relationships across the organisation and with external partners to deliver integrated marketing, engagement and customer experience strategies.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities, partnerships, delivery models and markets that broaden participation and diversify revenue.
  • Establish consistent operating standards and controls across the portfolio, including child safeguarding, work health and safety, quality and risk requirements
ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced program, product or portfolio leader who combines commercial thinking with a genuine interest in creating high-quality customer and participation experiences.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Sport Management, Business, Product Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Substantial experience managing programs, products or portfolios, with accountability for growth, revenue, customer experience and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success developing, growing or repositioning products or programs.
  • Strong commercial capability, including budget management, financial forecasting, pricing and performance analysis.
  • Experience leading employees, casual workforces, contractors or multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • The confidence to make complex decisions within delegated authority while managing competing priorities, operational risks and resource constraints.
  • Strong capability in market research, consumer insights, business case development, program evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare performance reports, forecasts and recommendations for senior leaders.
  • An understanding of netball delivery, or the ability to develop that knowledge.
  • A current driver licence and Blue Card.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain these before commencing employment.
