Job summary

Tobin McClintock is seeking an experienced Finance Manager in Australia to lead the divisional accounting function within a large, complex operating environment. The role partners with Commercial Finance to deliver critical inputs and commentary.

Responsibilities include leading month-end close, developing an accounting team of about eight, and ensuring balance sheet integrity while supporting statutory reporting and audits—across multiple ERP systems during a digital transformation.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong financial accounting and period close experience in large or contract-based organisations.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing an accounting team.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and data visuals (SAP, TM1, Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Leading month-end and year-end close activities.
• Managing and developing an accounting team of ~8.
• Owning balance sheet integrity and reconciliations.
• Partnering with Commercial Finance on results and analysis.
• Supporting statutory reporting, audits and external compliance.
• Working across multiple systems during an ongoing digital transformation.
