Qualifications

• Senior Finance Manager/Finance Manager experience, PE-backed/high-growth/healthcare preferred.
• Strong grounding in financial controls, statutory reporting, and compliance.
• Hands-on FP&A experience with commercial impact.

Responsibilities

• Own financial controls, month-end close, and statutory reporting across the group.
• Lead FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with CFO and leadership on strategic initiatives, board reporting, and investor needs.
• Provide commercial insights and business partnering across operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team with process improvement.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects such as system implementations and PE reporting.
• Ensure accounting standards and internal controls are met.

SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER | PE-BACKED HEALTHCARE | PERMANENT ROLE | SYDNEY | $160-190K+

THE COMPANY

Highbury is partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed healthcare business to appoint a Senior Finance Manager reporting directly to the CFO.

Backed by a leading private equity firm, the business is in an exciting growth phase, offering genuine scope for a commercially-minded finance professional to make a real impact and grow with the business, rather than simply keeping the wheels turning.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIIES

• Own financial controls, month-end close, and statutory reporting across the group
• Lead FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis that genuinely shape commercial decisions
• Partner closely with the CFO and broader leadership team on strategic initiatives, board reporting, and investor requirements
• Provide commercial insights and business partnering support across operational teams
• Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team, driving process improvement and capability uplift
• Get hands-on with ad hoc projects including system implementations, due diligence, and PE reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a similar Senior Finance Manager or Finance Manager role in a PE-backed, high-growth, or healthcare experience highly regarded
• Strong technical grounding across financial controls, statutory reporting, and compliance
• Commercially astute with hands-on FP&A experience
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, with a genuine willingness to be hands-on when required
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to partner directly with a CFO and senior leadership
• Adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business
