The Andersen Partnership is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to lead strategic financial planning for a global manufacturing leader in Queensland. You will sit on the leadership team, shaping commercial strategy and delivering sustainable growth for the QLD & NT division.

This high-profile role requires partnering with the State Manager and cross-functional leaders to optimise EBIT, cashflow, and operations.

The business is seeking a high-impact Senior Finance Business Partner to support its highly successful QLD & NT division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who wants to sit on the Leadership Team, taking ownership of strategic guidance and driving sustainable growth.

The Opportunity

This is a high-profile, strategic partnering role that goes far beyond traditional month-end reporting. Sitting at the leadership table, you will provide trusted commercial insight and performance advice to help shape critical business decisions.

The business is looking for someone who naturally looks beyond the numbers to understand the operational drivers of a complex manufacturing and distribution environment, acting as a true co-pilot to the State Manager.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with the State Manager and leadership team to develop and execute strategies that enhance EBIT and optimise the balance sheet
• Providing meaningful commercial insight, identifying the true drivers of performance, and offering constructive challenge to support decision-making
• Bringing a whole-of-business perspective to strategic planning, capital expenditure (capex) investments, and operational priorities
• Ensuring effective financial controls, commercial governance, and risk management practices are embedded across the region
• Building strong, collaborative relationships across sales, operations, and finance to fully understand the end-to-end business
• Identifying, prioritising, and progressing a pipeline of significant business improvement initiatives aligned with broader strategic goals
• Monitoring internal and external environments to champion change, relevant new technologies, and better ways of working
• Connecting financial, commercial, and operational data to translate insights into actionable, sustainable outcomes

About You

We are looking for an ambitious, highly strategic Senior Finance Business Partner who thrives in a complex, large-scale business and knows how to translate financial data into actionable commercial strategy.

You will likely be an experienced finance leader who enjoys navigating organisational boundaries and has can influence senior stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
• Extensive finance and commercial partnering experience within a complex, large-scale business (manufacturing, construction, or supply chain experience is highly regarded)
• The ability to understand performance beyond the financial data, identifying the operational and commercial factors shaping results
• A proven ability to influence strategy, challenge the status quo, and guide senior business decisions
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to a wide variety of stakeholders
• The confidence to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and proactively engage internal customers to understand their needs
