Job summary

Jemena in Melbourne is seeking a finance business partner to shape strategic decisions across Networks, Gas Markets, Regulation and Customer Operations.

You’ll provide financial and commercial advice, lead budgeting and forecasting, deliver insightful analysis, and help stakeholders understand the drivers of performance to support essential services.

This role suits someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, solving complex problems and using financial insights to make a tangible impact.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent postgraduate credentials.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, analysis and reporting.
• Experience reviewing contracts and key commercial documents to support strong financial outcomes.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks within the energy, utilities or gas markets sector.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, Business Intelligence tools and enterprise financial systems.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting within large, complex organisations.
• Ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights, business drivers and KPI performance measures.
• Proven success partnering with senior leaders to influence strategic and commercial decisions.
• Experience managing finance activities within a regulated environment, ideally across the energy or utilities sector.
• Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to support, coach and develop finance professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to combine internal and external data sources to identify trends, opportunities and business insights.
