• 5-8+ years' experience in investment analysis, business case development, infrastructure advisory, economic regulation or related fields.
• Strong financial modelling, investment appraisal and cost-benefit analysis capability.
• Demonstrated experience supporting, reviewing or challenging major capital investment decisions within large, complex organisations.
• Exposure to major infrastructure, technology or transformation projects, ideally within government, regulated industries, utilities, transport, aviation or similar environments.
• Ability to translate complex financial and commercial analysis into clear, practical recommendations for senior stakeholders, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.

The Role & The Team

This is a senior-level opportunity within Airservices' Investment Assurance team, where you'll play a critical role in reviewing and challenging major investment proposals before funding decisions are made. Working across a diverse portfolio of nationally significant infrastructure and technology programs, you'll assess business cases, test assumptions, evaluate financial and economic outcomes, and provide independent assurance that investment decisions deliver value for money and align with strategic objectives.

Reporting to the Business Case Assurance Lead, you'll partner with senior leaders, project teams, finance, strategy, operational and engineering stakeholders, providing evidence-based insights that support executive and board-level decision-making. The team is highly collaborative, intellectually curious and trusted to influence some of the organisation's most important investment decisions.

The Person

We're seeking an experienced commercial, investment or infrastructure finance professional who can confidently assess whether complex investment proposals stack up commercially and strategically. This is not a traditional accounting, budgeting or month-end reporting role. We are looking for someone who brings experience reviewing, developing or challenging business cases and investment decisions in large, complex environments.

Candidates from infrastructure advisory, government, utilities or other asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded. Direct aviation experience is not required; however, exposure to major capital infrastructure projects and investment evaluation is essential.

The successful applicant will have:

• 5-8+ years' experience in investment analysis, business case development, infrastructure advisory, economic regulation or related fields.
• Strong financial modelling, investment appraisal and cost-benefit analysis capability, with experience assessing complex investment proposals.
• Demonstrated experience supporting, reviewing or challenging major capital investment decisions within large, complex organisations.
