Job summary

CitiPower and Powercor is hiring for experienced Field Testers to work from the Brooklyn depot in Victoria. The role focuses on testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection, control, metering and communications equipment across various substations and sites.

Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate, sponsorship is not provided, and full working rights in Australia are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing and commissioning of primary and secondary equipment in transmission, substation and distribution environments.
• Familiarity with IEC-61850 Protocol and testing gear.
• Ability to operate and interpret relay protection test systems and results.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance testing, operation and commissioning of Protection, Control, Metering & Communications equipment for clients per safety and procedure requirements.
• Investigate malfunctions and carry out testing, modifications and repairs to improve reliability.
• Ensure correct use of test equipment and knowledge of relay performance for reliable Protection & Control.
