At CitiPower and Powercor, we’re proud to deliver electricity to 1.3 million Victorian customers every day through our network of poles and wires. But more than that, we’re here to power communities, support local businesses and keep critical services running smoothly, we’re essential to them all – and none of this happens without our people. As Victorians electrify everything from homes to transport, we’re focused on ensuring our networks are ready to meet that demand. If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us.
Due to ongoing growth and investment in our network, we have multiple opportunities available for experienced Field Testers / Senior Field Testers (also known as Protection & Control Testers internally) to be based in our Burnley depot.
These positions form part of a specialised, field-based technical team responsible for delivering electrical services in alignment with defined performance standards. Emphasis is placed on technical proficiency, safe work practices, and timely service execution through effective planning and assessment.
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our electrical network. You will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and commissioning of protection, control, metering, and communications equipment across a range of sites — including zone substations, EHV terminal stations, distribution substations, HV customer installations, and pole-top assets.
You’ll be contributing directly to our mission of delivering a safe, reliable, and cost-effective electricity supply to our customers, while meeting key service and performance objectives. This is a great opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects and be part of a highly skilled, forward-thinking team in the energy industry.
We are open to provide relocation assistance for the right candidate, however we’re not able to provide sponsorship for these roles at this stage, so holding full working rights in Australia is mandatory for these roles.
