Do you like fire trucks? Good - because we’ve got thousands of them, and we’re rolling out one of the largest emergency service vehicle communications upgrades in the country.
As a Senior Field Technician in the Field Deployment Team, you’ll be hands-on installing and commissioning critical technology into frontline RFS vehicles across NSW. This includes satellite communications (Starlink), vehicle connectivity systems, and operational tech that directly supports firefighters on the ground.
You won’t just be sitting in a workshop - you’ll also be travelling extensively across the state, working on appliances in real environments, and seeing the direct impact of your work in the field.
We’re after someone who enjoys practical, hands-on technical work and can operate effectively in a small team while also being comfortable working independently in the field. You're a collaborative leader who takes ownership of your work, knows how to manage your own schedule, and understand the needs and expectations of your clients. You take pride in quality workmanship and getting things right the first time, and you’re adaptable, recognising that no two days or locations are the same.
A background in auto-electrical, communications, or vehicle accessory installation is highly regarded, but not essential - we’re more interested in your attitude, capability, and willingness to learn.
If you are interested in finding out more about this opportunity, please access the Role Description and our organisation structure.
Note: As per the role description, candidates are required to meet minimum essential requirements. If you do not meet the essential requirements for this role, your application may not progress to shortlisting.
