Job summary

CSE Crosscom in Australia is seeking a Senior Service Technician to support and maintain mission-critical radio and telecommunications systems across mining, emergency services, transport, and utilities. You’ll work in the field on DMR, TETRA, P25 networks, IP-based systems, CCTV, and PAGA, delivering end-to-end servicing and smooth project execution.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, a Certificate III or higher in Electronics or RF Engineering, and the ability to work at heights with

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Electronics, RF Engineering or similar.
• Hands-on experience with radio spectrum, P25, TETRA, DMR, and networked systems.
• Confidence working at heights, with high-risk licence.
• Experience with telephony, CCTV, UPS, access control, PA systems, and more.
• Strong troubleshooting skills & calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of ACMA regulations.
• A true team player who takes pride in great customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end servicing of two-way radio systems (analogue, DMR, TETRA, P25).
• Install, test and commission radio networks, IP systems, CCTV, PAGA and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment across field and workshop environments.
• Configure and program radio equipment, maintain code plugs and firmware.
• Conduct site assessments, create implementation plans, and report results.
• Maintain service records, compliance docs, and field-ready tools/vehicles.
• Mentor apprentices and junior staff; support safety and training programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and toolbox talks.
