Job summary

CSE Crosscom is seeking a dedicated Service Technician to support and maintain mission-critical communications systems across mining, emergency services, transport and utilities across Australia. You will work in the field with radio technologies (DMR, TETRA, P25, LTE) and IP-based networks, CCTV, telephony and PAGA systems.

You will troubleshoot issues, plan upgrades and contribute to safe, compliant service delivery while mentoring apprentices and junior staff.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Electronics, RF Engineering or similar.
• Hands-on experience with radio spectrum, P25, TETRA, DMR and networked systems.
• Current high‑risk licence for tower climbing (EWP) preferred.
• Experience with telephony, CCTV, UPS, access control, PA systems, and more.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of ACMA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end servicing of two-way radio systems (analogue, DMR, TETRA, P25).
• Install, test and commission radio networks, IP systems, CCTV, PAGA, telephony and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults in field or workshop environments.
• Configure and program radio equipment, maintain code plugs and firmware updates.
• Conduct site assessments, prepare implementation plans, and produce detailed reports.
