Job summary

The role involves managing a varied family law caseload from initial advice through settlement and litigation, appearing in court, drafting documents, mentoring juniors, and contributing to business development, with hybrid working and a modern office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years PAE with a strong family law focus.
• Current Victorian practising certificate.
• Experience running family law matters end to end, including court appearances.
• Experience supervising junior lawyers, or ready to step into that role.

Responsibilities

• Run a varied family law caseload from first advice through to negotiation, settlement and litigation.
• Appear in court and brief counsel where needed.
• Draft court documents, agreements and correspondence.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers.
• Contribute to business development.
