Job summary

Song Properties group is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee operations across high-rise residential buildings in Brisbane. You will manage maintenance, repairs, inspections and safety compliance while delivering reliable, cost-efficient services.

Lead teams, mentor staff, manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. You must be able to attend meetings outside business hours and navigate Strata legislation in Queensland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in Facilities management, preferably in high rise residential buildings.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
• Strong understanding of Strata legislation in QLD & other states.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent organizational and computer skills.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience managing teams and projects.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities operations, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections, to ensure buildings are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating agreements and monitoring service levels to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards, including health and safety requirements.
• Ensure all reactive and preventative maintenance is executed safely, promptly and with minimal disruption.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership and guidance, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
• Assist with OPEX and CAPEX budgets and forecasting.
• Contract and Project Management.
